We Lift Heavy is a motivating and fun environment where adults learn to safely and effectively exercise to achieve fitness goals and life balance through weight training and yoga practice.

Research shows people lose significant muscle mass and strength as they age. Women, in particular, are vulnerable to bone loss and osteoporosis. Lifting weights—heavy weights—reverses this process. Our women-only small group strength training classes are designed to counter muscle and bone loss.

In addition, medical research has documented multiple physical and mental benefits of a regular yoga practice, including improved strength and flexibility, reduced stress, enhanced energy and a more balanced mood. Our yoga classes are open to anyone interested in developing or sustaining a mindful yoga practice.

We also offer personal training and private yoga sessions, as well as specialty workshops in strength training and combined yoga, meditation, and writing workshops.

Our multi-modal program aims to empower you on your journey to improved health and wellness.
