We Lift Heavy is your port in the storm of confusing messages and conflicting advice about how to get and stay fit. Our boutique studio is no run-of-the-mill gym. We’re a big space with a big heart and a small gym feel. In our clean, uncrowded, and welcoming space you’ll find a friendly, dedicated staff eager to help you get stronger, more flexible and balanced. Our clients love working out with like-minded adults in a fun, motivating environment where they learn how to exercise safely and effectively, achieve their health and fitness goals, and make new friends.

Come explore our spacious, open-plan studio. Try out the state-of-the-art weight training and aerobic equipment. Then, visit the adjacent, peaceful room to practice yoga and quiet the mind.

We offer women-only small group weightlifting classes, yoga classes for everyone, and personal training for anyone in one-on-one sessions. (Stay tuned for men’s weightlifting classes in the near future).

Our Location

Situated along the river in the the historic “Threadmill”, a nineteenth century landmark building in the Pawcatuck village of Stonington, CT, our spacious studio is easily reached from towns along the Connecticut shoreline or western Rhode Island.

For your convenience, ample free parking and an accessible entryway are available.
